Squad leader S.O.P.

"Communication -
- ALWAYS inform your platoon lead of your situation
ex. "This is charlie 1" (then your information or question)"
--Always say your squad and your number in platoon chat - this will minimize chatter and will instantly tell the entire platoon who and what you are without having to take their attention off of their situation. (you may be just sitting their but they could be on a full out assualt, (3 secs could cost his life or their spawn point)
--repeat your self until your answered via a platoon lead - TAKE NOTE - platoon lead not only is relaying information to 3 other squads besides your squad but is on TS, Command, and tring to navigate in actual combat and needs to pull aside to pull up his map to redeploy your unit, so he MAY NOT be able to respond or hear you right away
ex. "This is bravo 1 mobilized in 40 sec waiting for retasking"
ex. "This is delta 1 requesting to move out to (map location)"
ex. "This is Alpha 1 requesting back up, theres (enemy size) here and we can't take (squad task)"
- enemy activity
-- Enemy movements or spawn points
Call out the sunderers - when your running in multiple squads or we have air back up (this should always be done in squad regardless)
(put orange smoke on them)
(be specific on location)
ex. "enemy sunderer NW of (distictive object ex. ammo tower) at (squads location)
Call out enemy movement that could have sever impact
ex. "be advised there is a armour colum heading to (location)" or "be advised there is a 12/12 galaxy inbound to (location)"
- odds of successful completion of task
If your tring to cap a contintent and your sent to a location where a zerg or a friendly platoon has just or is in.. You need to relay that information, now you could sit there for 4-10 mins and gain points with ease but your not playing the chess game or being a active lead to accomplish the platoons goals, and honestly 250 - 1000 exp = killing a mag rider or a 2/12 sunder
if your situation goes side ways let peeps know, if you wait till your boxed in, its too late..
not only did you just waste 20 mins but now the platoon lead needs to change up the game plan because he couldn't get back up to you or make connectivity when needed, most importantly because you couldn't take 10 secs to call for back up or make a tactical retreat navigated via Platoon lead
A good example is if your entire squad gets wiped out 3 or more times or you can't make it to point
- task completion time
- let your platoon lead know when your a min out from completion
so he can take the time and make a TACTICALLY sound disicion on where you need to go next, if you wait till your entire squad has their thumbs up their ass you just cost mobilization time and you put your platoon lead on the spot (this is when it goes off track and your constantly moving all over the map becuase of in propmet calls)
- your squad movement
- if you decide to make a call on your own (which you should be able to if you have ran a SUCCESSFUL platoon before)
this is so your platoon lead can communicate with other squads and NC command so we keep moving forward and not stepping over each other.. With this said , don't just over ride your platoon lead its his rodeo, it WILL break moral ( to some this is nothing but moral is what gets things done, moral also keeps the outfit strong and peeps won't leave due to lack of faith in the outfit )"

"- Stay in connection with your squad members
Anounce right away to look at your squad number and STICK to callin the numbers out
-- this way your commands are short and you will have more time to focus your attention on current events
-- the more you communicate to your squad the more organized and more tactical information will be relayed to them and from them
- Always let them know your actions ahead of time or goals
-- next objection after current
-- 40 sec's to cap, call to mobilize and\or next target
--- this is so everyone knows what to expect and what direction of travel your heading to and optimze mobilility and less'in time to next target
- Give out tactical advice
-- This is the best way that i've found to get your squad organized and on the same page
--- once they see that your calls are to their advantage everyone will start listening to you more, even pugz (and if not remove them from squad, no sense on keeping dead wieght)
-- The best way to discribe this is when your playin and the manuevers you do let your squad know about them
ex. If you see high ground that is a vantage point , sound it off.. if it really worked out for you then let them know about it , ( put squad waypoint on it so everyone can see,, there's no reason you should keep swp on a control point once your people are on site
ex. "flank around (location) new squad waypoint and press into (squad objective) there is minamal resistance"
ex. "Stay away from (location) new squad waypoint cause its a kill box (or heavy enemy forces) and move to (squad objective)"
- Always call out your primary objective
-- let them know that they need to fall back or call it out if its endanger and drop what their doing to get the situation under control.. and call it out EVERYTIME its flashing or you see enemy movement in that direction to get back to primary.
ex. "once (squad objective A) is secured move to (new squad objective\s B) but (squad objective A) is primary and fall back as soon as its endanger, everything else is secondary"'
